Small and Medium Entreprises (SMEs) eligible for preferential loan rates

Bank of Scotland has entered into an agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to offer preferential loan rates to eligible Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). We’re committed to helping our customers and that’s why we’re supporting this scheme. If you have an eligible project, we may be able to help you reduce your borrowing costs.

Key product terms include:

  • Minimum loan term of 2 years
  • Minimum loan amount £25,500
  • Term of the loan does not exceed the life of the project or asset it is funding

Typical projects that EIB funding may be granted for may include:

  • Research and development expenditure
  • Purchase, renovation or extension of tangible assets i.e. business premises
  • Building up of distribution networks in any part of the UK
