Growing portfolio

With a core focus on private equity houses, Bank of Scotland Corporate's considerable experience of making limited partner investments in funds has given us an in-depth understanding of the top-level support required by fund managers.

We have a growing portfolio of over 90 funds and more than £1.7bn of commitments under management. For all of these funds, we look to generate strong investment returns and to support our Acquisition Finance and Structured Finance teams.

Meeting private equity requirements

Flexibility is vital in the fast changing and often unpredictable climate of fund management. Over the years, we've built up an extensive portfolio of banking products specifically designed to meet the needs of private equity houses.

Becoming an investor is just the start

At Bank of Scotland, we don't simply invest, we look to become a pro-active partner. This might include:

  • Gearing to improve investor returns
  • Inter-fund warehouse facilities during fund raising
  • Bridging and syndication facilities for investment prior to requesting drawdown notices from the limited partners
  • Banking and treasury facilities
  • Co-investment facilities to allow personal and team investment in the fund
  • Regulatory support to fund managers, together with co-investment schemes for the fund manager or general partner
  • Co-investment in the fund's underlying investments
